At the end of the 19th Century, close to the town of Bagnères-de-Bigorre in the French Pyrenees mountains, a weaving industry was born. In the beginning it was hand knitted by the men and women of the area during the long cold winters. Later, locals started small factories which then became producers of "Tissu des Pyrenees".
Val d'Arizes is born of this tradition. |
